Objectives
- This course will develop your skills and expertise to support the learning of children and nurture their development. It includes lessons to develop your knowledge of teaching methodologies and best practices. You will also be equipped with the skills needed to work with special needs children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD. The basics of classroom management, child safeguarding, classroom support and, much more will also be covered in detail.
- Develop an understanding of the learning process and risk factors that may prohibit or impede learning and typical development.
- Identify characteristics of various categories of exceptionalities and demonstrate the ability to utilize appropriate strategies to provide instructional support.
- Demonstrate respect for and awareness of diversity among the children and the value of offering a variety of instructional models to address the students’ strengths.
- Design appropriate interventions and individual educational plans.
- Develop an understanding of the national philosophy and framework for the provision of special education in UAE “School for All”.
